[REVIEW] Etude House Double Lasting Foundation
The very first review! We shall go with one of the famous Etude House products, the Double Lasting Foundation. This came out a while ago but since I've been busy with accumulating products, I totally forgot to give this a review. We'll see through the whole thing thoroughly for this guy here!
Medium to high. You can build it up of course. However, if you have severe dark circles or blemishes, you'll need a concealer. You don't want few spots with thick layers on your imperfections to get cakey or cracked. Use a red or orange red lipstick before applying foundation to cover up your dark circles, alright? That'll really help. Be sure to blend it properly before you apply your foundation!
Do take that note that I have COMBINATION SKIN type, oily T zone and dry U zone.
Product + Packaging:
Etude House Double Lasting Foundation (30g)
I'd say the packaging is cute. However, it's not as convenience as cushion foundation. You can carry this around because it's small sized but let's be real now. Who'd want to carry this heavy, fragile foundation bottle everywhere, no?
Sun Protection:
SPF34 PA++
Shade:
Beige (21-22)
This shade matches my skin just fine. Since I have yellow skin tone to begin with. In short, a perfect match. I apologize if my hands look tanned, but that's because they are always tanned. I have minimum care of my hands to be honest.
Longevity:
It lasts longer than I expected if I have to say. I don't usually believe all this 'double lasting' claim on foundations but, this guy right here means real deal. I didn't have to retouch my makeup for the whole day of when I tested this and now, it has been one of my favorite foundations ever! With primer, it stays on better. You can wear sunscreen as your base too actually. That's what I do most of the time. If you have extra oily skin, go with a primer and finishing powder. It'll last for the whole day.
Texture:
Super light-weighted texture! You won't feel like you're wearing a thick layer of makeup. It's like-- applying a bb cream! It's thin, light but lasts long. Unless if you go for another layer of powder or apply a base such as bb cream or a cc cream? That'd definitely feel heavy.
Coverage:
Medium to high. You can build it up of course. However, if you have severe dark circles or blemishes, you'll need a concealer. You don't want few spots with thick layers on your imperfections to get cakey or cracked. Use a red or orange red lipstick before applying foundation to cover up your dark circles, alright? That'll really help. Be sure to blend it properly before you apply your foundation!
Finish:
Satin to matte finish. If you're into the Korean trend of having dewy makeup finish then this is not for you. You can spray the mist for your desired glowy finish tho if you want?
Skin type Recommendation:
Oily skin. As for combination and dry skin types, be sure to put on your moisturizer. When I first tried this on, my cheeks got a little dry since I didn't put on my moisturizer by the end of the day but over all, it still lasted well.
Here's my picture of trying the foundation out! I'll give this 4/5 stars! Since so far, I'm loving this product so much. Except for its packaging opps. Thanks for reading and have a nice day, peaches!
