[REVIEW] Secret Key Tattoo Cover Cushion
Do take that note that I have COMBINATION SKIN type, oily T zone and dry U zone.
Product + Packaging:
Secret Key Tattoo Cover Cushion (15g)
Sadly, it doesn't come with a refill but I believe Secret Key do sell refills for this cushion-- a little bit pricey for a refill to be honest. That's why I went for their set instead. As you can see, the packaging is dope. It's black and classy and I'm living for it! Even the puff is in black! Apparently, it claims to be moisturizing, full coverage, whitening and wrinkle caring products. We'll see how it actually goes.
Sun Protection:
SPF50 PA+++
Shade:
Natural Beige (23)
Alright, here's the thing. I could've sworn that every cushion I have tried before, in 23 shade, they never reached to the level of being darker than my skin tone. However, this guy right here is in this case. At first, it seemed like it matched my skin tone when I first tried it on but after a while, as it started to oxidize, I knew it I should go for Light Beige (21) instead. It did get darker a little but not too dark. Just a little tiny bit. I'm a perfection type of person so this kind of detail really bothers me, okay? But overall, the color is still lovely for a yellow base tone. Here's the color picture for you. As you can see, it matches my tan skinned hand-- not my face's skin tone.
Longevity:
Without powder, it'll last for about 5 to 6 hours. I'm saying this to those with combination and oily skin type by the way. Since mine is combination, I have to powder my T zone. Though, you don't really need much of powder. It'll last much longer with a primer on but I usually don't go with a primer. This thing alone can last longer than you think. Usually, my foundation would fade on my T zone (slowly fading) after about 3 to 4 hours but this holds just fine. For those with dry skin, you don't have to worry about anything. It's very moisturizing! If you don't want to add your powder, just retouch whenever you feel like it! It won't get cakey or seem too heavy.
Texture:
Light-weighted. However, once again, ladies and gets, if you put on too much product then it'll feel heavy. From my experience, two layers would be enough. You don't have to go for more. Why? Let's move on to the coverage part.
Coverage:
Medium to high. One layer is enough to cover faint blemishes and the second would do for dark circles. If you have severe cases, then you'll need a concealer. Let's be real now. Which foundation can REALLY cover your MAJOR imperfections again? Here's the one layer coverage for you guys.
Finish:
Since it's focusing more on the coverage side, I thought it'll end up being one of those satin or matte finish foundations but hold it there, this thing actually goes for dewy-satin finish. It feels smooth but you have the glow with you. On my first time trying it, the glow stayed on my face for a very long time. But, it still looked like a natural finish makeup. In short, I'm loving it! If you're not into dewy or glowing finish, then powder your face, okay?
Skin type Recommendation:
For the first time ever, I'm gonna say that this cushion does fit for all type of skin! From normal, to dry, to oily and combination. You don't have to worry about feeling dry or too moisturizing.
My ratings? I'll give it 4.5/5 stars! So far, I'm contented with this product and this has been one of my favorite cushion foundations aside from the Pony Effect's Everlasting Cushion. I just need to get myself a proper shade after this. Here's the result for you, peaches! Thanks for reading and have a nice day!
